Foyle Search and Rescue has launched a campaign with energy supplier Electric Ireland to raise vital funds for life-saving rescue equipment. The voluntary based registered charity is urging people to join its Switch & Support campaign that will fund equipment for volunteers on patrol and a new pager system to quicken response times. Foyle Search and Rescue Service’s Annual Bucket Appeal will take place from Monday 2nd May 2016 to Sunday 15th May 2016, throughout different areas within the City. During the appeal, Foyle Search and Rescue Volunteers will be knocking on doors between 6.00pm and 9.00pm each night. All authorised collectors will carry Foyle Search and Rescue

Year 13 students from St. Joseph’s Boys’ School raise money for Foyle Search and Rescue. As part of their Enrichment Programme Year 13 students took up the challenge to raise over £50 for a nominated charity. They had 5 weeks to complete the Personal Skills Development task. The students decided on ‘Foyle Search and Rescue’.
