Foyle Search & Rescue, in Derry/Londonderry recognised with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service for 2016 A voluntary group from Northern Ireland who works in the community in a suicide prevention & search & rescue role has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in

The work that Foyle Search and Rescue do for our town is incredible. I've visited the building and met all the staff. They are inspiring and down to earth people.

Tonight myself and my wife were watching these guys going up and down the river on boat and on foot. Then next thing they are holding on to a female stopping her from jumping into the Foyle in my eyes they saved this lady from certain death my deepest respect to these guys
