Gerry Burns I first became aware of FSR in 1995 when I had come home from University in England on holidays, asking who were the ones wearing the orange coats standing on Craigavon Bridge, I thought they they were mad standing out a night like that, the weather was terrible, little did I know. The work that Foyle Search and Rescue do for our town is incredible. I've visited the building and met all the staff. They are inspiring and down to earth people.

Tonight myself and my wife were watching these guys going up and down the river on boat and on foot. Then next thing they are holding on to a female stopping her from jumping into the Foyle in my eyes they saved this lady from certain death my deepest respect to these guys
